Curator in Residence at the International Literature Festival Berlin
Helon Habila is the first Curator in Residence of the international literature festival berlin, shaping its 24th edition, 5–14 September 2024.
Helon Habila has been named Curator in Residence for the 24th international literature festival berlin (ilb), which takes place from 5 to 14 September 2024 at the Haus der Berliner Festspiele.
The role is new this year. The Curator in Residence develops the festival’s guiding theme with the festival director and team, helps shape its events and invitations, and is in Berlin throughout the festival.
Habila was a guest of the festival in 2008, 2013 and 2015, and a DAAD Artists-in-Berlin fellow in 2013. “My duty as a curator is to make this vision possible,” he says.
